Each year I try to make a list of 24 books that I plan on reading and call it my 2026 Goals. Some years I have included more than 24 and make the +24 called Hopefuls – somewhat like a maybe pile.
Last year I did terrible. Not only did I never post the list here (it was on Insta) but I just didn’t do well. As I have already stated, I get distracted by shiny new things. And I am ok with that. If I don’t read everything I plan out, that is fine. Reading is fun. It brings me joy, it is relaxing (usually) and it’s a hobby for me. But I do tend to be a gal with a plan so I do enjoy laying some things out. With that in mind though, I am just sticking to my 24 this year – 2 a month if I stick to it. I do have a list I have already posted of 48 new releases in 2026 that are highly anticipated for me. While I likely will read many of those too, these are the ones I am focusing on.
A tad over half of these are 2026 releases and the rest are older. Some were on my list last year, a couple are newer on my radar. We shall see how it goes!
